Planning and Community Development Certificate

The Planning and Community Development undergraduate certificate offers students and professionals a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive education in planning and community development to help you further your career goals. The certificate is tailored to students seeking a specialization and/or improving their credentials in the field of planning and community development.

You will learn how to identify issues confronting your communities and design strategies for change through community planning, urban and regional planning, citizen participation, community design, economic development, advocacy and sustainable development.

  • Available 100 percent online, on campus or combined.
  • Students complete 18 credits.
  • Option to substitute classes for courses that suit your individual interest and are related to the certificate. (upon approval of undergraduate certificate program coordinator)
  • This discipline is also available as a minor to complement another major.
